Jesús Herrera

He was born in San Sebastian but soon moved to Alicante, where he began his studies at the conservatory. Later he will be part of the Ballet of that city. This talented dancer, has won the 1st prize for alegrías in the Concurso Nacional de Baile La Perla de Cádiz in 2005, and has been a finalist in the Concurso Internacional Cante de las Minas two years in a row, 2006 and 2007.

In 2000 he joined the Compañía Andaluza de Danza under the direction of José Antonio, performing in several shows, “Latido flamenco”, “Perro andaluz”, “Leyenda” and “Encuentros” with choreography by Eva “La Yerbabuena”, Alejandro Granados, Rafael Campallo, José Antonio and Isabel Bayón.

Later he took part in the production of “Bodas de sangre” by Antonio Gades, and worked with Cristina Hoyos on “Yerma” and “Compás del tiempo”, receiving very good reviews.
