Patricia Ibáñez

She was born in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, where she began to be trained by teachers such as Cristóbal “El Jerezano”, among others. She perfected her dance with great artists, such as Eva “La hierbabuena”, Rafaela Carrasco, Farruquito, Juana Amaya or Belén Maya.

Since she was very young she has been part of the group “Semilla Flamenca” with which she toured in 1991 with the “Difusión del Flamenco”. A year later, she performed at the “Tierras de Jerez” Pavilion at the Expo-92, at the “Maison de L`Etranger” Theatre in Marseilles, and at the Paris Flamenco Congress, alongside the legendary Fernando Terremoto.

Later, she joined the Company promoted by the Andalusian Agency for the Development of Flamenco, performing the show “Homenaje a Cádiz”. In addition, she is part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía directed by Cristina Hoyos, during 2008, 2009 and 2010, with the works “Viaje al Sur” and “Romancero Gitano”.

In 2010 she premiered the show “Memoria Antigua” with the dancer Abel Harana at the 14th Festival de Jerez, getting good reviews from the public and the press.

Among the awards he has received are first prize at the “Ciudad de Ubrique” Flamenco Art Contest (2007), first prize for free dance at the “La Perla de Cádiz” National Contest (2011), and “la Copa Jerez” for dance awarded by the Jerez chair of flamencology (2012).

Finally it should be noted that she runs her own flamenco dance school located in the flamenco quarter of Santiago in Jerez de la Frontera.
