María Moreno

She was born in Cádiz, where she started dancing at a very young age. At the age of eight she won the national TV contest Veo Veo, and at fourteen she won the prestigious national award for Bajo de Guía, held in Sanlúcar de la Barrameda. Later, she also won the first national prize for dancing to the “Alegrías de la Peña La Perla de Cádiz”.

Her training is carried out by renowned artists, such as Rafaela Carrasco, Javier Latorre, Antonio Canales, or Juan Ogalla, among others.

She made her debut in the show “Locos del tiempo” together with other artists from Cádiz, such as Pilar and Juan Ogalla, in the Central Lechera hall in Cádiz, which was also performed in the 14th Bienal de Flamenco in Seville, and with which she continues to tour the most emblematic stages on the international scene.

Since 2003 she has been part of Eva Yerbabuena’s company, with which she has toured around the world presenting the shows; “Eva”, “A cuatro voces”, and “El huso de la memoria”.

In 2006 she participated in the Bienal de jovenes flamenco de Sevilla. At the same time, she is required in festivals such as “Veranos del corral” (Granada), “Larachí flamenca” Festival (Seville), “Fiesta de la vendimia” (Jerez de la frontera) and “Festival de la fortuna” (Madrid).

In 2018 she opens “De la Concepción” at the Teatro Central de Sevilla in the Bienal de Flamenco, obtaining with it the most important distinction, the Giraldillo Revelación.
