Macarena Ramírez

She was born in 1992 in Cádiz, where she graduated in Spanish dance. Later she will also study at the University Rey Juan Carlos I in Madrid.

Her career has been recognized with important awards such as the television contest “Veo Veo” 2001 and 2002, the national flamenco contest of Ubrique 2008, or the prize for young flamenco artists Desencaja Andalucía 2010.

In 2006, at the age of 12, she played the role of Lola Flores as a teenager in the production of “Lola”, the film. That same year she joined the Antonio El Pipa Company, with which she toured the stages of major theatres around the world.

It is worth mentioning her participation in the Festival de Jerez, La Unión and the Bienal de Sevilla; as well as her solo performances in the Festival de la Parpuja, sharing the bill with José Mercé and Capullo de Jerez. In 2011 he is part of Caroline Chormienne’s film, Vert, je t’aime vert, with the dancer Cristina Hoyos.

She has been and still is part of important companies such as Sara Baras, Antonio El Pipa, and María Pagés. She has also created her own company with which she has already presented the shows “Recuerdos” and “Ocho letras, ocho palos”.
