Juan Torres

Born in Morón de la Frontera (Seville), he started taking lessons at the age of six with Manolo Morilla, disciple of the great guitarist Diego del Gastor, founder of the famous school of Morón. From this school, he developed his old style of playing, mixed with more modern harmonies and rhythms.

Throughout his career, he has been a finalist in the acclaimed Festival de la Unión, 2nd prize as a soloist guitarist in the festival of Jaén and that of the city of Calasparra (Murcia), and 3rd prize in the international guitar competition of Hospitalet (Tarragona).

In 2002, he became a member of the federation of flamenco clubs in Seville, taking part in several circuits as a guitarist for singing. In 2007, he began to accompany dance, sharing the stage with figures such as La Farruca and Concha Vargas. At the same time, he has collaborated with renowned companies such as the dancer Cristina Hoyos.

Currently, he combines his trips abroad with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, La Casa del Flamenco, and other prestigious auditoriums in the city.
