José Montes is a flamenco dancer from Seville. He has studied in the Professional School of Dance“Antonio Ruiz Soler”, the Andalusian Centre of Dance and the Flamenco Art Foundation Cristina Heeren, where he was awarded a scholarship for three years of studying by the Cajasol Foundation and the Tread Right Foundation.
In 2021 he premiered his first show, named “Ciudad de Plata”, which debuted in Seville, reaching as far as Viena. That same year he also participated in “Recital” along the company Compañía B, within Andorra’s Flamenco Festival “Verde, que te quiero, verde” as well as in the show “Con Bata y Mantón”, a production of the Cristina Heeren Foundation that premiered in the Teatro Real de Madrid.
Between the years 2023 and 2024 he performed for tours through Mexico, in citis like Guadalajara, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro and Mexico City. In 2025 he participated in the show “La Pecaora” for the Joy Awards in Saudi Arabia; and in 2026 he joined the company Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana for the United States tour of the show “Quinto Elemento”, choreographed by Patricia Guerrero and Eduardo Leal. He visited New York, Stamford, Dallas, Memphis, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Conway, performing at the prestigious Joyce Theater in New York.
