Elena de Morón

Born in Morón de la Frontera (Seville), Elena started singing and training at age 7. At just 10 years old, she is awarded the Youth Prize for saetas from the city of Utrera. Back home, she won the Youth Prize at the song contest up to three times.

It is worth highlighting her entry into the cante flamenco contest “Naranjito de Triana”, where she won the “Beca Acciona” scholarship.  This prize allowed her to attend the Cristina Heeren Flamenco Foundation for the academic year 2019-2020, where she learnt from maestros such as José de la Tomasa,  Esperanza Fernández and Juan José Amador to name a few.

She later joined said school’s faculty for two consecutive years, accompanying guitar and dance as well as assisting renowned professors and artists such as Luisa Palicio, Antonio Molina “El choro”, Javier Barón, Pedro Sierra and others.

Along her professional career as an artist, Elena has taken part in important festivals like “El Gazpacho” in Morón, “La fiesta de la guitarra” in Marchena or at theBienal de flamenco de Sevilla in “Territoriojoven”.

The flamenco palos she feels most comfortable and free performing are solemnpalos, such as seguiriya, soleá or malagueñas.
