Carmen Yanes is a professional dancer specialized in flamenco with more than 12 years of artistical experience and ample studies in both flamenco and spanish dancing. She is experienced in both national and international shows, working with prestigious flamenco groups and performing in famous tablaos of both Seville and Madrid.
She was part of the Andalusian Flamenco Ballet from 2013 to 2018, under both Rafaela Carrasco and then Rafael Estévez, performing national and international tours in different festivals and theatres, such as the New York City Center, the Théâtre National de Chaillot, the Mont Marsan Festival or the International Festival of Sibiu. She received the award Giraldillo from the Bienal Flamenca in Seville in 2016 along with the whole dancing group.
Her professional career includes joining companies such as Flamencos en Route, Rubén Olmo and Rafaela Carrasco, with a special mention of her work in the prodution of Nocturna, arquitectura del insomnio, between the years 2023 and 2025.
Nowadays she works in different tablaos, such as La Casa del Flamenco, the Museo del Baile Flamenco Cristina Hoyos, Teatro Flamenco Sevilla and Flamenquería, while also being a teacher in various schools and dancing learning programs. Carmen’s professional profile is remarkable in her versatility and capacity for change, improvisation and a constant improvement thanks to different contemporary masters of flamenco.
She has been recognized with different awards and flamenco and dancing contests, such as her second prize in the Concurso de los Jaleos Extremeños de Badajoz in 2025, which established her place within the world of professional flamenco.
