Born and raised in Málaga, Paula begins her training in Spanish Dance from an early age at the conservatory. She would arrive in Seville supported by a scholarship awarded by the Andalusian Dance Centre, where she learnt from artists such as Rocío Coral, Miguel Ángel Corbacho and Rubén Olmo. The latter would include Paula to his flamenco company, where she would take part in the show “La muerte de un Minotauro” and “La tentación de Poe”.
Later on, in 2008, she goes on to join Joaquín Grilo, touring the show “La Calle de mis sueños” both in the national and international scenes.
Her artistic quality has been duly recognized in multiple occasions, one of them being the Manolo Soler Flamenco Talent Dance Contest (2018). This contest would grant Ms Salazar the Acciona scholarship, allowing her to study in the Cristina Heeren Foundation where she would later have the chance to learn alongside masters such as Javier Barón, Milagros Menjíbar, Luisa Palicio or Rafael Campallo.
In 2022 she scored second place in the International Festival Cante de las Minas, and this past year she was a finalist in the Spanish Choreographic Dance and Flamenco Contest, in Madrid.
Next year, in February 2024, she will debut her solo performance in the prestigious Flamenco Festival of Jerez.
