Born in Cadiz, he has been known by the nickname “El Picuo” since he was a child. At the age of 18 he went to Japan with the artists Andrés Peña, Isabel López and Mercedes Ruíz.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked in various prestigious venues such as “Las Carboneras”, “Casa Patas” or “El Corral de la Morería”. He also toured with flamenco companies such as Cristina Hoyos, Manuel Liñán, Olga Pericet and Marcos Flores.
In 2005, he participated in the show “Una mirada del flamenco” (A look at flamenco) with the dancer Rafaela Carrasco, presenting this work at the Jerez Festival, the New World Flamenco Festival, and the Royal Albert Hall in London, among other venues.
It is also worth mentioning his participation in the Bienal de Sevilla with the acclaimed Belén Maya and her show “Dibujos”.
