He started his formal learning with guitar player Juan Ramón Caro in El Taller de Músics, a school located in Barcelona, where he started singing at the age of 16 in dacing and guitar academies of the city.
In 2017 he came to Seville on a scholarship from Acciona to study in the prestigious Fundación Cristina Heeren under the mentorship of recognized teachers, such as José de la Tomasa, Juan José Amador o Liliana Aracil. At the same time, he started singing as an assistant teacher under the wings of Pedro Sierra, Carmelilla Montoya, Rubén Olmo, Rafael Rodríguez “Cabeza”, María Moreno or Pastora Galván among others. Later on he ended up teaching singing at the Rebollar School of Performing Arts and codirecting his own school, called Arrebol.
He studied the history of Flamenco with José Mayo (President of the Tertulia in Badalona), Pepa Sánchez (Director of the Fundación Cristina Heeren), Pedro Barragán (Guitarist and professor of the history of Flamenco in the Fundación Cristina Heeren) and José Luis Ortiz Nuevo (Poet and one of the co-founders of the Bienal in Seville).
He has participated in different international flamenco festivals, like the Bienal in Seville in 2018 with the song “La Roda del Viento”, by David Dorantes; the 33º festival of Arte Flamenco in Catalonia; Savia Nueva, directed by Mayte Martín, Txiquitsi (Mozambique) and El Dorado (Barcelona)
Nowadays he performs in different tablaos, such as Los Gallos, La Casa del Flamenco, Teatro Flamenco, Palau Dalmases, Los Tarantos, etc.
It is also worth mentioning that Marcos won the first award in Talento Flamenco Naranjito de Triana por Soleá in 2017, was a finalist in “El Candil” and “La Llagosta” (in Barcelona), Talento Flamenco por Cantiñas (in Cádiz) and Talento Flamenco por Granainas (in Granada).
