Susana started dancing at the age of eight under the guidance of José Galván, followed by other great artists, such as Matilde Coral or Manolo Marín.
From 1998 to 2004 she was a member of the Ballet de Cristina Hoyos with the shows “Arsa y Toma”, “Al compás del tiempo” and “Tierra Dentro”, among others. In 2003, she got the leading role for the play “Yerma” within this same company, with which she got great reviews from the public and the specialized press. She was also part of the Andalusian Flamenco Ballet, with the shows “Viaje al sur” and “Romancero gitano”.
In 2009, she premiered the show “Por un sueño” at the Gran Teatro Falla (Cádiz), as both dancer and choreographer, achieving great success. The following year she took this show to the Universal Exhibition in Shanghai (China), during the week dedicated to Andalusia in the Spanish pavilion.
Among the awards that this Sevillian dancer has received are the Farolillo de Oro (Seville), the first national award Matilde Coral (Barcelona), the award for best flamenco show in the cycle “Larachí Flamenca” with the show “La hora del duende”, the first award for best free dance (Cadiz) and second place in the Festival de la Unión.
She currently combines her tours with performances in different tablaos in Seville, as well as her work as a teacher in the prestigious school of Ángel Atienza (ADOS).
