Juan Campallo

He began to play on stage at the age of 12, accompanying his older brothers, the dancers Rafael and Adela Campallo. With them he works on stages all over the world, from Tokyo to New York, in theatres and festivals such as the Bienal de Flamenco, the Jerez Festival, the Mont de Marsans Festival, the Tel Aviv Flamenco Days Festival, the Monterrey Festival, or the Santa Barbara Festival in California, among others. He has given classes with several guitarists such as Jaime Burgos or Miguel Pérez

In 2006 he joined the companies of Antonio Canales and Javier Barón, with whom he continues to work today. In 2007 he won the prestigious “Bordón Minero” award at the Festival de la Unión, as best solo guitarist, which consolidates him as one of the best young solo guitarists on the flamenco scene. Afterwards, he starts playing as a soloist in important festivals such as the Bienal de Flamenco in 2008, or in the cycle Flamenco viene del Sur of the Junta de Andalucía. He has performed with Antonio Molina “El Choro”, Pastora Galván, Juana Amaya, Antonio Canales, Javier Barón, Merche Esmeralda, among others.

Currently, he works in big shows, as well as, in several tablaos of the city.
