Her profesional career begins at the young age of 13, dancing in tablaos of her native city as well as international folk clubs such as the one in Paris or London’s Flamenco Festival. Upon reaching adulthood, Gema becomes a member of Farruquito’s dance Company performing in the show “Sonerías”, which premieres during “la Bienal de Sevilla” in 2010. It is with that same company that she would tour Argentine and Chile in 2012 performing “Baile Flamenco”, before joining Antonio Fernández Montoya “El Farru” to dance in Bogotá and Istambul.

In 2018, she is awarded the revelation prize at the “Festival Flamenco de Jerez”. A year later she receives the “Venencia Flamenca” award at the “festival de la Mistela”. In 2020 she premieres “Ahora” to kick start the “Fiesta de la Bulería”.

Gema currently dances at some of the most distinguished tablaos in Jerez, Sevilla, Madrid, and Barcelona, as well as at Diego del Morao’s concerts.
